Hypnotherapy As Part Of Your Wellness Journey
Are you finding yourself stuck in your personal or professional life, experiencing burnout, or feeling emotionally exhausted? NYC is officially the most stressed-out city in the United States, and it’s no secret that New Yorkers need self-care and support. Hypnotherapy is a powerful tool for improving your mindset, enhancing your present-moment awareness, and achieving your goals. It involves guiding an individual into a state of deep relaxation, where they are more open to suggestions and able to access their subconscious mind. Through hypnotherapy, you can overcome negative thought patterns, release limiting beliefs, and cultivate a more positive outlook on life. By harnessing the power of your subconscious mind, you can tap into your full potential, improve your overall well-being, and achieve greater success in all areas of your life.
At Unlocking Your Magical Sense, we are pleased to offer hypnotherapy sessions for New Yorkers with Steven Rosebaugh’s distinctive hypnotherapy method.
What Is Hypnosis?
Hypnotherapy is a heightened state of concentration and focused attention. Guided by a trained, certified hypnotist or hypnotherapist, hypnosis allows you to access your subconscious mind and make positive changes in your behavior, thoughts, and emotions.
Modern hypnosis started with the Austrian physician Franz Anton Mesmer (1734-1815), who believed that the phenomenon known as mesmerism, or animal magnetism, or fluidum was related to an invisible substance–a fluid that runs within the subject or between the subject and the therapist, that is, the hypnotist, or “the magnetizer.”
The term hypnosis was introduced in the 1840s by a Scottish surgeon James Braid (1795-1860), who believed the subject to be in a particular state of sleep–a trance. In the late 19th century, a French neurologist Jean Martin Charcot (1825-1893) thought hypnotism to be a special physiological state, and his contemporary Hyppotite-Marie Bernheim (1840-1919) believed it to be a psychological state of heightened suggestibility. Sigmund Freud, who studied with Charcot, used hypnosis early in his career to help patients recover repressed memories.
Today, hypnotherapy can be an effective way to cope with stress and anxiety. The benefits of hypnotherapy have been extensively studied. At Unlocking Your Magical Sense, Individual Zoom therapy session(s) using Hypnotherapy techniques are integrated with THE METHOD (created by Mr. Steve). It is a powerful tool designed to bring the client mentally, physically and spiritually as one in face-to-face with their patterns, habits, blocks, beliefs and desires to a point of realization of really (the unlocking the magical sense) what is preventing them from living in the moment, with positivity, creative forces flowing, and joy and not living by just avoiding obstacles in life but by seeing the magic all around ……using their magical sense.

- .. In short, Unlock Your Magical Sense
All human behavior comes from the subconscious mind and is driven by learned beliefs. Some helpful, some not so helpful. By exploring the depths of our subconscious mind, we can gain a deeper understanding of ourselves and those around us. While we may have learned unhelpful beliefs or behaviors in the past, we can unlearn them and replace them with new, more adaptive patterns. With time and effort, we can rewire our brains and create more positive, fulfilling lives for ourselves and those around us.
Being In The NOW With Hypnosis
With Mr. Steve’s distinct hypnotherapy method, you will learn to be in the NOW. To be in the present means to be aware and focused on the current moment, rather than dwelling on the past or continuously worrying about the future. It involves being fully engaged in what you are doing, and experiencing each moment as it is, without judgment or interpretation. Practicing being present in the now can help you reduce stress and anxiety, improve your relationships with others, and increase your overall sense of well-being.
When combined with mindfulness techniques, hypnosis can help individuals in become more aware of their thoughts, feelings, and physical sensations, and learn to observe them without judgment. The benefits of practicing mindfulness are available to everyone, but like any skill, mindfulness takes practice. When you work with a certified hypnotherapist in New York, you will have the guidance and support you need to feel more present and in the NOW.
The Benefits of Positivism
Part of Mr. Steve’s method involves positivism. Being positive is so refreshing. All aspects of daily life can be viewed through rose-colored glasses, i.e., having a more positive outlook, if you choose to do so. Of course, some situations or circumstances may not be conducive to thinking or feeling positive while in that confining state of emotion, fear or the like, but an attempt is always available to use at any moment. In many situations being or even becoming more positive can indeed change the current conditions and most likely the outcome to a more favorable one. And this just may be because of your new positive thought pattern in seeing or observing a condition or situation differently than before……is creating or manifesting a new result!
It is very similar in how it works to Self-Hypnosis. You train yourself to focus your thoughts more in a direction of positive ones and attempt to maintain that focus as long as you can and as deep as you can…….hypnotizing yourself to focus and throwing to the side the little “mind chatter” that wants to get in the way.
